Care Instructions

Follow our care instructions below to make sure your furniture looks great today and in the future. Use only the recommended cleaning products listed below and avoid harsh or abrasive detergents that can harm the material.

Cushions & Pillows

Fluff cushions and pillows on a regular basis to make sure the filler material (foam and fathers) is well distributed within the cover. This will ensure that your cushions and pillows maintain a great look of fullness every day.

All fabrics will stretch during use. To achieve the best comfort we make sure covers do not fit too tightly. This means that some creasing will occur. However, our lounge sofa collection is designed to look at its best when it is actually used!

Fabric Covers

Clean the fabric covers on a regular basis with a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush. To remove stains we recommend using a clean damp cloth. For resistant spills we suggest you use clear, cold water and mild soap immediately. Make sure you work the cloth from the outer edge of the spill inward as this will help avoid creation of a stain ring. Do not use cleaning solvents.

To remove gum or wax we recommend you freeze it with a small plastic bag filled with ice. After it hardens you can go ahead and chip away carefully. Use a clean damp cloth to remove any stain left behind.

For heavy stains we recommend you remove the fabric cover and have it dry cleaned. With dry cleaning we recommend you secure the Velcro with loop fastener to avoid damages. Make sure to follow the specific cleaning instructions on the label you find within the cover.

Leather Covers

Clean the leather covers on a regular basis with a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush. To remove stains we recommend using an absorbent cloth immediately. Use caution and do not rub too hard as this can cause damage to the leather. Do not use cleaning solvents.

To remove gum or wax we recommend you freeze it with a small plastic bag filled with ice. After it hardens you can go ahead and chip away carefully. Use a clean damp cloth to remove any stain left behind.

To make sure the leather looks fantastic over time we recommend a conditioning treatment every 6 months. Use leather treatment products available on the market. Make sure to test any treatment on an inconspicuous spot first.

Wood

Use a neutral detergent for all wooden parts. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasives or furniture wax. Please be aware that the cloth you use may pick up some color the first times you clean the surface. It is normal that the lacquer treatment used on the wood comes to the surface when it is drying.

Use trays for drinks to avoid moisture from contacting surfaces. Do not place hot pans or dishes directly on wood. We recommend protective pads under furniture that are positioned on hard surfaces.

Lacquer

Use a neutral detergent for all lacquered surfaces. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasives or furniture wax. Please be aware that the cloth you use may pick up some color the first times you clean the surface. It is normal that paint powders come to the surface when it is drying.

Metal

Wipe metal parts on a regular basis with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives.

Marble

Clean marble with a damp cloth and neutral soap (acid free) with low alkalinity that is diluted with water. Make sure to remove spilled liquids immediately. The white marble is more sensitive to spills than the black marble due to the treatment of the stone.

Glass

Clean the glass surface with a damp cloth and special purpose glass cleaning products available on the market.

Hardware

Hinges have to be adjusted on a regular basis. Use a screwdriver and follow the specification in the assembly instructions.
