Civil Refer-a-Friend Program Terms & Conditions

As a Refer-a-Friend Program member (a “Referrer”), you are subject to Civil’s Terms of Use and Civil’s Privacy Policy as well as the following additional Terms & Conditions for Civil’s Refer-a-Friend Program. Please note that, unless we define a term in these Refer-A-Friend Program Terms & Conditions, all capitalized terms used herein have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use.

• Referrer. Any individual who is otherwise eligible to participate may become a member of Civil’s Refer-a-Friend Program by clicking on the “Refer a Friend” Program link provided by Civil. The Referrer must be a customer of Civil, validated through a previous purchase at civilspace.com.
• Referred Customer. A person in the US who is at least 18 years old, with shipping to an address located in the US, who arrives to the Site by using the unique Refer-a-Friend Site link provided by a Referrer. The Referred Customer and the Referrer cannot be the same person (for example, by using a different email address), as determined at Civil’s sole discretion. The Referred Customer cannot come from the same household as the Referrer.
• Qualified Referral. A Qualified Referral is defined as a first-time purchase made at civilspace.com by a Referred Customer who arrives to our website by clicking your Refer-a-Friend program link. You are limited to one (1) Qualified Referral for each Referred Customer; in other words, additional/repeat purchases made by a Referred Customer are not counted as additional Qualified Referrals. For you to earn referral rewards as a Referrer, the Referred Customer must complete an order greater than $500 in total value excluding all fees including taxes, discounts, shipping, returns, chargebacks, fraudulent payments, and/or other 3rd party fees.
• Referral Rewards. Rewards are payable in an Amazon Gift Card in the amount of US$50.00. The maximum Qualified Referrals earned per calendar year may be no more than 10 Qualified Referrals, for a maximum possible Referral Reward of $500.00. As a Referrer, you are responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from Referral Rewards. Referral Rewards will be issued 40 days after Referred Customer has received the purchased product and provided the Referred Customer has not returned or canceled the order in accordance with Civil’s returns policies.
• Eligibility. The program is limited to individuals only. Civil’s Refer-a-Friend Program cannot be used by businesses for affiliate lead generation or posted on discount sites, as determined in Civil’s sole discretion.
• No Combination.Referred Customers may not combine any discounts obtained through their use of Civil’s Refer-A-Friend Program with any other discounts or offers.
• Compliance with Applicable Law. As a Referrer, you must comply with all applicable law, including, but not limited to the CAN-SPAM Act. For example, emails must be created and distributed in a personal manner and bulk email distribution is strongly discouraged. Any distribution of your referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of your account and exclusion from Civil’s Refer-a-Friend program.
• Right to Terminate Accounts. Civil reserves the right to close the account(s) of any Referrer and/or Referred Customer and to request proper payment if the Referrer and/or Referred Customer attempts to use the Civil Refer-a-Friend Program in a questionable manner or breaches any of these Terms & Conditions or is in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation.
• Right to Cancel Program or Change Terms. Civil reserves the right to cancel the Refer-a-Friend Program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time in its sole discretion. Any unclaimed referral rewards will be forfeited at that time.
