Sosia has a bigger footprint than its table top. The double horizontal T-structures of the frame create beautiful geometric shadow patterns on the floor. It changes with the light source and creates a dynamic look.
A steel frame casts geometric shadows in the presence of light for a stunning visual effect.
Sosia’s frame is made out of two pieces of steel that are seamlessly joined together to create the double T-structure. This means we can send the table flat packed, which reduces the environmental impact of the shipping by more than 80%. It also makes it easier to handle and move.
Innovative engineering makes Sosia a breeze to assemble.
Sosia comes in three sizes. You can use any model on its own or build a cluster with two or more tables. This gives you flexibility and adds a dynamic touch to your space. The frame’s T-structure is always at the same height to ensure a sense of harmony.
Sosia beautifully complements existing décor. Nest different sizes together for a look that never gets boring.

What’s the most unique characteristic of the Sosia table?
The blend of refined aesthetics and innovative technical design. The geometry of the frame allows it to ship flat and be assembled in minutes. This reduces the size of the box, and hence, its CO2 footprint from shipping by more than 80%. The beauty to me is that one would never guess it’s a flat-packed table.
How was geometry part of the design process?
We wanted the table to extend beyond its own footprint. The structure of the frame creates an interesting, geometric shadow effect on the floor. The table is dynamic in both the viewing angle and the way the light casts its shadows from different angles. As you cluster more tables together, the interplay of geometry among the tables is quite breathtaking.
How did you design Sosia to be a circular product?
Sosia is a circular story from the start. The innovative technical design makes it possible to ship it in a flat box, which significantly reduces the carbon footprint from transportation. Every part of the table is sustainably sourced and can easily be replaced if needed. Also, the frame is 100% recyclable at its eventual end of life.

Premium quality woods bring a sense of nature that can’t be replicated through other materials. Most of our wood is harvested from cultivated sources.
Use. Repair. Recycle. The single most important thing we can do as a manufacturer is to make furniture that lasts. Our Furniture for Life Program guarantee that replacement parts for all our products are available for its lifetime.
Materials have significant impact on human and environmental health. We source responsibly and track all materials used in our products through Material Passports. We avoid materials on the Red List.
Our first priority is to eliminate our carbon emissions, and every day we get closer to that goal. The emissions we can’t eliminate we offset through our partnership with Terrapass. This makes our net footprint neutral.
Our vision goes beyond what we do as a furniture maker. We invest 5% of our profits in a series of projects dedicated to finding innovative and impactful solutions to help accelerate our transition to a circular future.
