Doppio means double in Italian. The double horizontal T-structures of the frame create beautiful geometric patterns, while the double-sided table top allows for an immediate change of appearance by simply flipping it over.
A double T-shaped steel frame casts geometric shadows in the presence of light for a stunning visual effect.
Doppio’s table top is made from different types of wood on each side. This allows you to change the appearance of the table by simply flipping the top. Should one side lose its luster after many years of use, you can simply flip the top to give the table a brand new aesthetic.
The clever design makes it possible to flip the table top to change the look. Each side comes with a different wood finish.
The table comes in two sizes. You can use it on its own or build a cluster with two or more tables. This gives you flexibility and adds a dynamic touch to your space. The frame’s T-structure is always at the same height to ensure a sense of harmony.
Doppio beautifully complements existing décor. Nest different sizes together for a look that never gets boring.
“We wanted to create a dynamic occasional table. The design lets you change the appearance of the table by simply flipping the table top”.

Tell us the story behind Doppio.
We loved the idea of exploring different sustainability stories with different versions of the same table. The idea was to design a solution that addressed the end of life of a piece of furniture. We did so by creating a double-sided top – the portion most likely to age over time – giving the table a new life simply by flipping the top.
What was the biggest challenge in designing the table?
To create a seamless solution for the flip function. We wanted the design to be very clean and for the top to flip easily without tools. To achieve this, we had to go through countless rounds of prototyping and testing with the Italian artisans before we reached the final result. Simplicity done well is quite often very complex to achieve.
How was geometry part of the design process?
We wanted the table to extend beyond its own footprint. The structure of the frame creates an interesting geometric shadow effect on the floor. The table is dynamic in both the viewing angle and the way the light casts its shadows from different angles.
