Developed by Italian foam engineers, the seat cushion features the perfect balance of firmness in the front for leg support and softness in the back for seat comfort. The top layer of memory foam creates a responsive feel for luxurious, everyday comfort.
Unrivalled Support
Three layers of high-density polyurethane foam topped with memory foam provide premium comfort.
Removable cushion covers are common, but few armchairs give you the option to easily remove the frame covers. This makes it easy to clean the covers or replace one single cover if you have an accident. If you want a fresh start after many years of enjoying the armchair, you can opt for a new type of fabric or leather. Extremely high seam performance makes it possible to combine this level of flexibility with a 100% tailored look.

A firmer seat cushion provides better support. Therefore, it’s often considered to have a higher level of comfort than a very soft cushion.
Seat height and depth
Lounge sofas are deeper and made for relaxed seating positions. You’ll often curl your legs onto the sofa. If you want a more upright position you can add an additional cushion in the back.
Look after use
Some wrinkles will form after use. This is normal for premium foam since you don’t have continuous upward pressure like springs cushions. It’s easy to straighten out the fabric with your hands.

How do you design for today’s dynamic lifestyle?
It’s really about understanding the functional needs - how at one moment the sofa is used to chill in front of the TV, the next moment to work, then at a party with more friends than the sofa can fit.
What was the biggest challenge in designing Noord?
The level of modularity is very sophisticated. It was a challenge to achieve this level of interchangeability and seamless technical solutions while ensuring a clean and essential look. We had to go several rounds on the technical design to achieve the airy look and feel of the Magic Box.
Tell us about the Magic Box?
This was really a working title that stuck with the collection. It encapsulates our vision to make the sofa seamlessly connected, providing wireless charging just where you need it and a combined table top and storage space.

It takes less than 10 minutes to assemble your Noord sofa. Simply attach the legs with the complimentary Allen key.

Premium fabrics and leathers from top European mills and tanneries. All our fabrics are certified for contract use. This means they’ll also stand up to the everyday wear and tear from humans of all ages and our four-legged friends.
